Believe it or not I get asked this question a lot, “Are babies allowed in breweries?”, along with, “Can I bring my dog to a brewery?” and “My girlfriend (insert: wife, brother, friend, etc) doesn’t like beer, are there breweries that serve anything other than beer?” The short answer to all those questions is, “yes.”
These questions are particularly relevant to me this week because my sister, Mary, is visiting from Australia with her 6 month old baby who is not a beer-drinker yet. Actually Mary is not a beer-drinker either, yet. Regardless, they have signed up for one of our Public Beer Tours next week, along with my mother, who would like to bring her fancy Australian bred dog. I said “no” to the dog for this trip because it is illegal to transport dogs in a vehicle sporting a TCP number (limo license). I learned this after I tried to start a “Dog-Day Beer Tour,” good idea but totally illegal unless everyone drives separately in their own personal cars.
So I have been doing my research and it’s always a work in progress but below is a list of dog friendly breweries, baby friendly breweries, and some breweries that serve other beverages besides beer.
