We dry-hop this American Style India Pale Ale with seven grains and four domestic hop varieties by adding dry whole hops to the finishing tank so the beer rests “on top” of the hops for five extra days! Malty sweetness up front with big cascade and glacier hops in the finish — a wonderfully drinkable IPA!
O’Fallon continues to impress us with their Awesome Ales of all different kinds. This year was the first time that I heard about O’Fallon, and ever since my first sip, I have been buying their beers every time I see them on the shelves. This week I found their 5 Day IPA and it proves my point.
This IPA pours an interesting copper color with floral and citrus aromas. It has a unique maltiness that provides a nice layer of sweetness that is soon taken over by a galore of hop flavors. The floral and citrus flavors take over with a subtle bitter taste. This IPA is truly a winner; I would recommend it to anyone since the bitterness isn’t overpowering. Stayed tuned for O’Fallon Hemp Hop Rye…It’s chilling in the fridge as we speak!
